Embryonal carcinoma (EC) is usually seen in the setting of mixed germ cell tumor. Pure EC is uncommon (about 10% of testicular tumors). It is rare in children. Clinically, it presents as a testicular mass, sometimes accompanied by gynecomastia (10% of cases). Metastases are found in about 40% of cases at presentation.
